After a three-year prison term in Japan, a yakuza heads for LA to buy two kilos of cocaine. He's going to smuggle it back to Japan, and it's to be his last score: he wants to marry Yoko, his long-suffering girlfriend, and get out of the life. But somebody sets him up, Yoko is shot, and he loses the suitcase of dope. He determines to stay in LA, retrieve the coke, and exact revenge: although he's a drug dealer, he still follows the samurai code of the yakuza. Along the way, he learns that his long-lost younger sister is in Los Angeles, and he teams up with an unlikely partner in his quest for justice: a petty thief who's trying to help a young woman get back to Japan.
For Riki Takeuchi Enthusiasts.
Seriously . . . why would you really watch this movie? If you aren't a fan of Riki Takeuchi, this movie will make your head spin with it's apparent suckitude. However, as a Riki Takeuchi movie that features him speaking English and shooting up Los Angeles, it's a seriously awesome flick. Basically, it's a terrible 80s-style action movie. The production values, over-the-top action, and ridiculous plot would have been de rigeur in 1986. But being a late-90s movie, it's even sillier. The cheese is laid on thick, but not unintentionally. It's very tongue-in-cheek in a way. Takeuchi's performance is strong, as usual, even given the crappy trappings. He sneers, shows off his coiffed doo, and impales people on katanas - all bases covered. And there's a Chevy Nova SS for no reason! And it's pee-yellow - where else are you going to see that?
Vampyress Celina falls in love with battered East Berlin housewife Jane and efficiently rids her of her wife-beating husband. But the young couple soon find themselves on the run from a mysterious vampire hunter who has developed an unhealthy obsession with his prey.
Weird n' wonderful
A "different" German movie about a seemingly young (and very hot) vampire, who takes over the life of an abused housewife, starting a sexual relationship with her.
The movies story line wasn't bad, and the death scenes are pretty cool. Overall, a decent film.
Guptan, a college lucturer, gets killed and the suspect is Gabriel. Ammalu, the kid sister of the famous Criminal lawyers Harikrishnans, asks them to appear for Gabriel in the court, as she feels he is innocent in the case. But Ammalu gets humiliated in the court by the public prosecuter, and Harikrishnans withdraw from the case. But little did the villains know that if Harikrishnans withdraw from a case, it has an entirely different meaning.
Well made commercial entertainer
Harikrishnans is a well made commercial entertainer by Fazil which has all the typical ingredients like comedy , drama , romance , action and suspense.
The real highlight of the movie is the amazing chemistry between the lead actors Mammooty and Mohanlal , their comic scenes are too good.Their combination scenes are really well taken by the director. The music is also really good. Juhi Chawla also gives a good performance in her only malayalam film. The search for Mohini Varma and the innovative climax are other highlights. On the negative side at some places the script feels contrived to suit the star images and to give them equal importance.
Overall a must watch for the coming together of the Giants of malayalam cinema .

Titanic becomes Tataynic
Dolphy is the Philippines' comedy king and he is known for making spoofs of hit Hollywood films. Tataynic is one of those. The movie was produced during the time Titanic was making its successful run in Philippine theaters.
Tataynic is derived from the words Tatay Nic (Daddy Nic), the name of the main character played by Dolphy. The setting is - you guessed it right - a luxury liner !!! Unfortunately, the movie didn't match its Hollywood counterpart's popularity. The comedy aside from being outdated, is also peppered with a plethora of uncalled for musical numbers.
I hope that a more sensible comedy film would be produced in the future.
Marvin and Sally are on their way to Grandma's when a horrible accident with a living corpse thrusts them into the path of a freakish cult. Through the use of powerful drugs, Marvin is transformed from an everyday citizen into a zealous fanatic, hell bent on leading the Zombie Cult into a final, bloody battle with the living dead and a tough biker gang. It is a dark day of suffering and bloodshed when these strange events reach their apocalyptic climax.
Troma Look Out!
If you love Troma flicks, you will love this film! The viewer should consider first that the intent of the movie is to mock both culture and the genera, and at that it does an _excellent_ job! The "cheap" Blair Witch feel and mountains of gore will have you rolling with laughter and squirming with disgust.
Since this was filmed around the Cincinnati area, I had the unique opportunity of seeing a sneak peek back in college. Ever since I obtained that first rough-cut preview from a friend, I spent a lot of time looking for the final version of the movie for my collection. Only recently did I manage to obtain it, and I am still impressed. The imagery of granola hippy zombies and ultra right-wing religious zealots continue to delight me as it will fans of this type of cult hit.

Like a Really Bad Episode of Power Rangers...
Being a fan of British martial artist Darren Shahlavi, who stole the show as the villain in the Gary Daniels film Bloodmoon, i was quite excited at the prospect of watching Techno Warriors. Having just read an interview where Shahlavi talked about the film and its sequel, Lethal Combat, i was expecting something pretty special...
What i wasn't expecting was an ultra-cheap Phillipines actioner about video game characters coming to life; bad, visible wire-work and terrible dubbing that was - and this is the true killer - off-synch by a good 3 seconds.
The storyline, for want of a better word, concerns characters in a virtual computer game (with names such as Dinosaur and Black Ninja) and they all fight each other. Thats it, really. There is something about them all wanting to come to the real world to destroy their ruler - a nerdy guy who's really good at the game they're trapped in - but its not really worth going into. This film is clearly all about the fighting. Which would be okay if the fighting was any good...
Don't get me wrong, there's some awesome talent on display here. Darren Shahlavi, who plays a virtual cop character named Twister, and his partner, played by Chinese Tae Kwon Do expert Kwang Su Lee, are amazingly flexible and look awesome kicking ass. Unfortunately they, and the many other skilled martial artists on display, are completely let down by the bad direction, obvious wire-work and general shoddiness of the fight scenes. However, that said, the choreography is good as are the special effects for such a low budget film. But really, what good is any fight when you couldn't care less who wins and who loses? Really though, it was the off-synch dubbing that ruined the film for me. I'm happy to veg out and sit through many a bad fight scene, but when the 'whack!' comes 3 seconds after the blow is struck, and people are opening their mouths and nothings coming out... Well, thats no fun at all.
P.S. The sequel, Lethal Combat, is even worse as it recycles many of the same sets and fight scenes from this film. How do they get away with it? Still, at least that one was in synch...
It could have been great but ultimately it disappoint so much unfortunately
It does not have a bad script but the budget of this little movie is a very tiny.I think is the budget of a car only. This is an action movie.Because i am a Cyntnthia Rothrock fan i thought that this movie will not disappoint because i thought it will have great fights scenes with her.But Cynthia don't fight in this movie, she just shoots here and there. I've waited for such a long time(1996) that she will play in a new movie on the same level with her older but classic films like: 1.Righting Wrongs 2.No retreat no surrender II 3.Blonde Fury 4.Tiger Claws 5.Martial Law II 6.Rage and honor II 7.Irresistible Force 8.Lady Dragon II 9.Guardian Angel Maybe WHITE TIGER,PRISON RAID,Star Raiders: The Adventures of Sabre Raine or BLUE SUEDE will not disappoint. So now we'll have to wait for what will be released next. Her movies from 1997 until 2013 were disastrous unfortunately.
